WACOMP Ghana introduced a one-on-one online coaching to selected SMEs from Cosmetics and Body Care, Fruits Processing, Cassava Processing clusters in June 2020. The coaching sessions were successfully completed end of June 2021 where 26 companies achieved beneficial results. SMEs enhanced their competitiveness in the areas of quality, compliance to standards, branding, promotional activities, new product development, packaging and labelling, cost-price-profit analysis, sales analysis and forecasting according to channels and products, inventory planning, HR development, collective actions, corporate social responsibility among others.

WACOMP Ghana is launching a new, training programme for local coaches from September to December 2021.

During the training, prospective coaches supervised by international experts, will work hand in hand with companies operating in the three WACOMP Ghana value chains. Throughout the training programme, selected SMEs will have the opportunity to take advantage of a one-on-one support covering different business areas such as production processes, quality, marketing, cost calculation, packaging and market access.

SMEs in the three WACOMP Ghana value chains interested in taking advantage of this unique opportunity, can volunteer to participate to the programme and go through the coaching process. They will be mentored, monitored and evaluated at the end of the training period and provided with concrete continuous feedback on how to improve their competitiveness.
